Volleyball Recap: Johansen Takes a Loss

Johansen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Beyer Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-9, 25-8.

Leading Beyer to victory were Cruz Hibbard and Antonio Rivera. Hibbard had eight assists and four digs, while Rivera had three aces. Those three aces gave Rivera a new career-high.

Johansen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Beyer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Johansen is set to take on their familiar foe Ceres at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beyer will face off against rival Livingston at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
