Volleyball Recap: Cannon Falls Victorious

Cannon Falls saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies by a score of 2-0.

Claire Meyers paced Cannon Falls' offense, picking up 12 kills. Meyers got some help from LIbby Sampson and her 22 assists. Sampson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lucy Nobach, each putting up three.

Cannon Falls' win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Cannon Falls will venture away from home to take on Stewartville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bombers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they will be playing at home against Aitkin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
