Parrish Community waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Deerfield Academy Big Green by a score of 10-7.

Mason Plese looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jonathan Maassen and Sam Torres did most of the damage at the plate: Maassen went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Torres got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Maassen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Brien Quiles, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parrish Community will host Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Parrish Community's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Deerfield Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Williston Northampton at 3:00 p.m.
