New Oxford and South Western are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Colonials will square off against the Mustangs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. New Oxford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

New Oxford is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Kennard-Dale just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Nolan O'Brien was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, South Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to Spring Grove.

South Western's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for New Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

New Oxford came up short against South Western in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 6-3. Can the Colonials avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
