Baseball Game Preview: Como Park Cougars vs. Washington Tech Eagles

For the second straight game, Como Park will face off against Washington Tech. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Como Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Como Park took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Washington Tech. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The team relied heavily on Brendan Avant, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Vance Ethen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Como Park's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Washington Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
