It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fairfax can now relate to. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaparral Firebirds on Tuesday. The Stampede's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chaparral's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaelie Weishaar led the charge by going 7-for-16 en route to 22 points and three steals. Weishaar has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Stella Hulse, who posted eight points and five steals.

Fairfax's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Chaparral, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chaparral, they will square off against Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
