Baseball Recap: Hempstead Comes Up Short

Hempstead managed to slip by Hitchcock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats lost 13-2 to the Bulldogs on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Hempstead has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Hitchcock, they moved to 5-17 with that win, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

While Hempstead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
