Sycamore and St. Charles East pushed the score to 5-3 the last time they played St. Charles East, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Spartans and the Fighting Saints finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. Sycamore's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Noah Carlson, who's now up to two this season.

Sycamore's draw gives them a new season record of 16-7-1. As for St. Charles East, they moved theirs to 11-5-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sycamore will face off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles East, they will challenge Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Charles East will need to watch out since Jefferson have now posted at least four goals in their last four matchups.
