South Pointe has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lancaster recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Stallions will venture away from home to challenge the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. South Pointe is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

South Pointe is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat York 41-0. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked third, while the Cougars are ranked 87th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Pointe can attribute much of their success to R.J. Brown, who rushed for 61 yards and two TDs on only eight carries, and Dailan Duncan, who picked up 82 receiving yards and one score. Duncan got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 57 yards.

South Pointe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Willie Dye and Zahyden Ratliff. Ratliff has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times he's played. Another thorn in York's side was Brysen Ginn, who picked up 2.5 sacks and made seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Lancaster gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They came out on top against Dreher by a score of 20-13. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Bruins were the (much) better team in the second half.

South Pointe's record now sits at 6-1. As for Lancaster, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for South Pointe against Lancaster in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
