Soccer Recap: Topsail Plays to a Tie

Topsail saw some tournament action on Friday. Neither they nor the Wake Forest Cougars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Ryan Dollman was handed one for Topsail, while Wake Forest got theirs courtesy of C. Hagan.

Topsail's draw gives them a new season record of 0-0-2.

Topsail didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Riverside-Durham on the 16th. As for Wake Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Coastal Christian on the 16th.
