Basketball Recap: Coltin Lester Key Part of a Team Effort in Renegades Win

WestSide won the last time they faced Bluefield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The WestSide Renegades enjoyed a cozy 71-55 victory over the Bluefield Beavers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Renegades.

WestSide's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Coltin Lester led the charge by going 10 for 13 on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave Lester a new career-high in points. Bryson Blankenship was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

WestSide smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests.

WestSide has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bluefield, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. WestSide will host Wyoming East at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. WestSide is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
