West Lyon has gone 10-0 against Sheldon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The West Lyon Wildcats will be playing at home against the Sheldon Orabs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in West Lyon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Last Friday, West Lyon beat Okoboji 59-50. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Pioneers are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheldon). They blew past Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, posting a 65-23 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Orabs with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Sheldon and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for West Lyon, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for West Lyon against Sheldon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-31 victory. Does West Lyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sheldon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
