Basketball Recap: Pe Ell Trojans vs. Naselle Comets
After flying high against Washington School for the Deaf last Tuesday, Pe Ell came back down to earth. The Pe Ell Trojans took a blow against the Naselle Comets on Friday, falling 67-39. The Trojans were probably out for revenge after losing 53-33 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Pe Ell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Blake Nelson, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam McGrath, who had seven points.
Pe Ell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Naselle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Pe Ell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-43 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 28th. As for Naselle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-42 win against Ilwaco on the 28th.
