Basketball Game Preview: Idea Timberwolves vs. Lanham Christian Lions

The Idea Timberwolves will challenge the Lanham Christian Lions at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Idea was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-60 to Capital City Public Charter School.

Meanwhile, Lanham Christian took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Christian Academy, sneaking past 59-56. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Idea better keep an eye on Brandon Williams. He was instrumental in Lanham Christian's win, putting up 19 points. Those 19 points gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Mendy, who posted 12 points.

Idea's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lanham Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
