Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Bulldogs vs. Escondido Cougars

The Ramona Bulldogs will take on the Escondido Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ramona has five straight victories, Escondido has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Ramona beat Rancho Bernardo 60-53.

Meanwhile, Escondido ended up a good deal behind San Pasqual on Tuesday and lost 67-48. The Cougars were down 48-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ramona pushed their record up to 12-14 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for Escondido, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Ramona beat Escondido 66-58 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Ramona repeat their success, or does Escondido have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
