Recap: St. Albans vs. Paul VI

Paul VI were fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past St. Albans 49-6. St. Albans can consider this payback for the 16-17 loss they dealt Paul VI the last time the teams encountered one another.

The matchup started off well for Paul VI, whose offense put up 42 first-half points. Meanwhile, St. Albans couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 42-0 heading into the break. The Paul VI defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The victory bumped Paul VI's record up to 3-2. The defeat dropped St. Albans' record to 1-4.

Paul VI will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Bishop Ireton. Paul VI are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Bishop Ireton are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. As for St. Albans, they will face off against Episcopal. St. Albans have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Episcopal are surely hoping to exploit.
