After a string of 18 wins, Frederick W's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 55-47 to the South Wake Sabres.

Rebekah Hartzell was her usual excellent self, putting up 21 points and five boards for South Wake. Hartzell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Savannah Taylor was another key player, earning six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Frederick W's defeat dropped their record down to 21-2. As for South Wake, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 34-2.

Frederick W does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Wake, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Guilford HomeSchool at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
