Soccer Game Preview: Woodmont vs. Mauldin

Woodmont hasn't had much luck against Mauldin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m.

Woodmont lost 4-1 to Greenville on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mauldin came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rams. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Mauldin were the better team in the second half.

They hit Hillcrest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kyle Monte, Thony Usuga, and Ali Muguerza.

Mauldin pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Woodmont, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Woodmont suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Mauldin when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
