Baseball Game Preview: Bell Gardens Lancers vs. San Gabriel Matadors

For the second straight game, Bell Gardens will face off against San Gabriel. The Lancers will be playing at home against the Matadors at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Bell Gardens turned things around against San Gabriel on Tuesday. They blew past the Matadors 14-1. The Lancers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Eddie Villalobos was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Sion, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

San Gabriel is on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13. As for Bell Gardens, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
