Football Recap: King George Comes Up Short + How To Watch

King George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the James Monroe Yellow Jackets, falling 28-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Foxes have suffered against the Yellow Jackets since November 4, 2016.

Parker Jay threw for 90 yards on nine of 21 attempts. Ethan McClain was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Robert Gollahon rushed for 35 yards.

King George's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for James Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, King George will challenge Culpeper County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Foxes will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for James Monroe, they will face off against Chancellor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
