Softball Recap: LAMP Golden Tigers vs. Russell County Warriors

LAMP put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past the Russell County Warriors 16-1. The win was familiar territory for LAMP who now have three in a row.

Alexandra Dubois was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned run or hits. Dubois was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, LAMP got a massive performance out of Ana Clark, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Clark has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raileigh Mims, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

LAMP pushed their record up to 9-15 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Russell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

LAMP does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Russell County, they will be playing at home against Abbeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
