Soccer Game Preview: ASPIRA Charter vs. Mount Pleasant

The ASPIRA Charter Wolves will head out to square off against the Mount Pleasant Green Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

ASPIRA Charter is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Sussex Central just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Golden Knights by a score of 2-1.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Mount Pleasant and Howard meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Green Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for Mount Pleasant in their matchups with Howard: they've now won four in a row.

Mount Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 3-11-2. As for ASPIRA Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2-1.
