Recap: Kaiser Cougars vs. Moanalua Menehune
After flying high against the McKinley Tigers last Saturday, the Kaiser Cougars came back down to earth. Kaiser took a 63-46 bruising from Moanalua on Wednesday. If Kaiser hoped to take revenge for the 71-37 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Moanalua can attribute much of their success to Austin Oguma, who scored 14 points. Isaiah Kimbrough was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Kaiser has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Moanalua, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-18.
Kaiser will head out on the road to face off against Kalaheo at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Kalaheo's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Kaiser has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Moanalua will take on Kalani at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kalani is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
