Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Plainfield South's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After losing to Neuqua Valley the last time they met, Plainfield South decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

Domonic Krejci paced Plainfield South's offense, picking up seven kills. Krejci got some help from Alexander Venes and his 19 assists. Finally, Papaa Adansi-Ofori kept Plainfield South's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Plainfield South has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Neuqua Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Coming up, Plainfield South will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Neuqua Valley, they will challenge Payton College Prep at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
