Soccer Recap: Sweeny Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sweeny waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Wharton Tigers onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Sweeny's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for Wharton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Sweeny will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Stafford at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Wharton will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Palacios at 7:15 p.m. on January 21st.
