Volleyball Recap: Essex Tech Comes Up Short

Essex Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lynn Vo-Tech Tigers.

While Essex Tech was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Essex Tech lost, don't look at Barrett Cross. Despite the final result, he had seven digs and three aces. Cross is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 13 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Booth, who had ten kills and seven digs.

Essex Tech's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lynn Vo-Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
