Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wayland walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ashland Clockers on Friday, sneaking past 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Clockers back in April, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Wayland pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Ashland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Wayland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Walpole on the 31st. Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
