Soccer Recap: Shawnee Mission East Comes Up Short

Shawnee Mission East was the 8-0 winner over Lawrence Free State when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell just short of the Firebirds by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2-1. As for Lawrence Free State, they moved to 4-5-1 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Shawnee Mission East and Lawrence Free State will both be playing Olathe South the next time they take the pitch. The Lancers will head out to face the Falcons on Tuesday, while the Firebirds will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
