Baseball Recap: Ray Wins Going Away Against Superior

Ray got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against the Superior Panthers as they made off with a 13-1 victory. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Panthers back in March, they had to take a 10-6 defeat.

Asher Warren was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse James, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Ray and bumps their season record up to 8-12-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Superior, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Ray wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-11 win against St. David on the 18th. As for Superior, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Gilbert Classical Academy on the 16th.
