Softball Recap: South Side Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rochester on Monday, South Side came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Union Area Scotties on Wednesday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scotties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 last Thursday.

South Side saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke McNary, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

South Side's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Union Area, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. South Side will head out to square off against Bishop Canevin at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Area, they will take on West Middlesex at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
