Del Oro lost to Placer back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Golden Eagles really took it to the Hillmen for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-14 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Golden Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

Del Oro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Sherman out in front who rushed for 60 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Ashton Greenhalgh was in the mix too, providing the Golden Eagles with two scores.

Del Oro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Greenhalgh and Victor Suarez. Del Oro received some extra help from Suarez, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Del Oro's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Placer, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Del Oro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 61-7 win against Foothill on the 12th. As for Placer, they have also already played their next game, a 31-0 victory against Antelope on the 12th.
