Soccer Recap: South Garner Gets the Win

South Garner kept a clean sheet against Goldsboro on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Goldsboro Cougars 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 two weeks ago.

South Garner's one-goal win came courtesy of Leah Couch, which was the first she's scored this season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4-1. As for Goldsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-2.

Looking ahead, South Garner will face off against Garner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be South Garner's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Goldsboro, they will square off against Beddingfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goldsboro's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
