While North Forrest's win against Quitman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Jordyn Barnes made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Chance Rogers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Landon Hayes, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

North Forrest's record is now 13-6. As for Quitman, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-20.

North Forrest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Stringer on the 13th. Quitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
