Baseball Recap: South Lamar Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, South Lamar finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pickens Academy Pirates by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Stallions have suffered since March 3rd.

South Lamar moved to 8-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Pickens Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

South Lamar will host Sulligent at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pickens Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Stallions' game: after the Stallions faces off against the Blue Devils, they'll take on Pickens Academy again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
