Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Coopersville's Winning Streak

After flying high against NorthPointe Christian on Saturday, Coopersville came back down to earth. The Broncos fell 8-5 to the Reeths-Puffer Rockets on Thursday. The Broncos were not able to make up for their loss to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Isaac LeMieux was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Holzgen, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Coopersville moved to 21-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Reeths-Puffer, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

While Coopersville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
