Baseball Recap: Glidden-Ralston Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Glidden-Ralston's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Exira-EHK Spartans 14-5. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Glidden-Ralston's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Exira-EHK, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glidden-Ralston will head out to challenge Coon Rapids-Bayard at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Exira-EHK, they will head out on the road to face off against Ar-We-Va at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
