Soccer Recap: Beecher Takes a Loss

After flying high against Princeton on Saturday, Beecher came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell just short of the Bloom Blazing Trojan by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Beecher can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Bloom are ranked 115th).

Beecher's goal came courtesy of Grace Durante, who's now up to 20 this season.

Beecher now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bloom, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Beecher has already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 16th. As for Bloom, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Kankakee on the 16th.
