Basketball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 91-41 defeat at the hands of the Warsaw Tigers. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-28.

Carroll's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cala Haffner, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Gawthrop, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Warsaw, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Carroll will head out to take on Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for Warsaw, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Warsaw's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
