Basketball Recap: Beacon Takes a Loss

If Beacon was feeling good fresh off their 49-28 takedown of Graphics back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beacon Blue Demons fell 46-36 to the Stuyvesant Peglegs on Saturday. The Blue Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Peglegs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Beacon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Stuyvesant, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Beacon will take on Health Profession at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stuyvesant has already played their next game, an 85-30 loss against New Dorp on the 6th.
