Soccer Game Preview: Caroline vs. Chancellor

The Caroline Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Chancellor Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chancellor took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Caroline, who comes in off a win.

Caroline will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Monday, then bounced right back against The Carmel School on Thursday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Caroline's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Chancellor was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Courtland, falling 3-0. Chancellor have struggled against Courtland recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

The victory got Caroline back to even at 2-2. As for Chancellor, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Caroline was able to grind out a solid win over Chancellor in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
