Basketball Recap: Karns Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gibbs on Thursday, Karns came back down to earth. The Beavers took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knoxville Central Bobcats on Friday. The Beavers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Karns now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Knoxville Central, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Karns will take on Hardin Valley Academy in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Knoxville Central, they will venture away from home to take on Pigeon Forge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
