With a playoff win on the line, Heritage Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bethesda Christian Patriots a 7-0 shutout. Considering Heritage Christian have won eight contests by more than five goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Bethesda Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lauryn Dolvin (3), Emma Gast (2), Anya Riggle, and Myla Spangler.

Heritage Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those five matchups. As for Bethesda Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
