Basketball Recap: Scio Takes a Loss

Scio was the 50-47 winner over Taft when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scio Loggers took a hard 70-56 fall against the Taft Tigers on Monday.

Scio's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Taft, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scio will square off against Amity at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Scio has won five straight at home, while Amity won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Taft, they will challenge Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taft knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Sheridan likes a good challenge.
