Basketball Recap: Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit can now relate to. They were beaten by the Parkway Christian Eagles 56-5 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 66 points in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Leading Parkway Christian to victory were Angelina Marchesi and Tamerah Peterson. Marchesi dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Peterson dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 steals. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 42 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Smith, who posted two points in addition to seven assists and six steals.

Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Parkway Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.
