Appling County extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Keniyah White. The Appling County Pirates put the hurt on the Claxton Tigers with a sharp 62-36 win on Saturday thanks to White, who posted 24 points and eight boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Appling County's points.

Makayla Williams was another key player, putting up six points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Claxton lost, don't look at Jayda Jordan. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 24 points and 21 rebounds. That was a full 66.7% of Claxton's points, marking the 23rd time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzy Bacon, who had four points and nine boards.

Appling County's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points over those games. As for Claxton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

Appling County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-21 win against Cook on the 12th. As for Claxton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-47 victory against Emanuel County Institute on the 10th.
