Baseball Recap: Loomis Chaffee School's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Loomis Chaffee School dropped their record down to 11-9 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster School Martlets. The Pelicans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Martlets earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

As for Westminster School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

For Westminster School's part, Jake Pleau was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Loomis Chaffee School nor Westminster School have any future games scheduled.
