Baseball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Comes Up Short

Sports Leadership & Management managed to slip by Tampa Prep the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans lost 11-4 to the Terrapins on Monday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Terrapins earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Sports Leadership & Management saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Morales, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Morales hit this season.

Sports Leadership & Management has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Tampa Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Sports Leadership & Management will challenge Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Phoenix have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tampa Prep, they will face off against Seffner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terrapins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
