Volleyball Game Preview: Woodcrest Christian Royals vs. Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners

The Woodcrest Christian Royals will head out to challenge the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Woodcrest Christian and Arrowhead Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Royals blew past the Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Woodcrest Christian was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.

Woodcrest Christian found their leader in freshman Aiden Ahlberg, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Loma Linda Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Indian Springs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday.

In the three sets Loma Linda Academy was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-5, 25-13, 25-15.

Woodcrest Christian's record now sits at 15-3. As for Loma Linda Academy, their record is now 13-10.

Woodcrest Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Loma Linda Academy in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
