Softball Recap: North Davidson's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Davidson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Oak Grove Grizzlies. This was a revenge game for the Black Knights: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in April, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.

North Davidson got a great performance from Delaney Stilwell as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Stilwell posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.

At the plate, North Davidson's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

North Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Oak Grove, with the loss, they broke their 14-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.

As of now, neither North Davidson nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
