Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Silas Wielert and Tobias Wielert Lead Hebron to Victory

Hebron won the last time they faced Hammond Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Hebron had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Leading Hebron to victory were Tobias Wielert and Silas Wielert. Tobias had 21 digs and one assist, while Silas had 24 digs and 15 kills. Those 21 digs gave Tobias a new career-high.

Hebron picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Hammond Central, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Hebron has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Washington Township on the 19th. Hammond Central has also already played their next matchup (against Munster), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
